Arman Tsarukyan’s Stunning Knockout Victory Over Dariush at UFC Fight Night

The Georgian lightweight fighter, Arman Tsarukyan, who holds a commendable record of 21 wins and 3 losses, delivered a stunning performance on Saturday. He faced off against Beneil Dariush, a formidable opponent with a record of 22 wins, 6 losses, and 1 draw. The fight was a much-anticipated event, headlining the UFC Fight Night held inside the renowned Moody Center.

Arman Tsarukyan’s recent victory marks a significant milestone in his career, elevating his UFC record to an impressive 8 wins and 2 losses. This achievement is even more remarkable considering the caliber of his opponents. His only losses came against the current champion Islam Makhachev in 2019 and a somewhat contentious decision loss to Mateusz Gamrot in 2022.

“I wanted to perform well, knock him out, go home and get my title fight,” Tsarukyan said.

“I do want to say thank you so much to Beneil. He is the most respected fighter in our division for me. Nobody wanted to fight me. Just one guy wanted to fight and it was Beneil Dariush. Because of him, I’m a top five fighter, and hopefully my next fight will be for the title. If not, it doesn’t matter. I will fight the next one. I’m going to be a champion,” He added.

At the young age of 27, Arman Tsarukyan demonstrated a masterful performance in the Octagon. He strategically brought down Beneil Dariush’s defense with a swift knee to the body, creating an opening for his powerful right hand. His speed advantage was clearly evident throughout the match, allowing him to land strikes with precision and efficiency.

As Dariush went crashing to the canvas, Tsarukyan landed four more right hands. Although Dariush was already down, Tsarukyan’s relentless pursuit of victory was on full display.

At the age of 34, Dariush finds himself in a challenging position in his career. After an impressive winning streak of eight consecutive victories, he has now faced two back-to-back defeats. This is a significant setback for him, especially considering that he was on the verge of securing a title shot in June.

He was up against the formidable former champion, Charles Oliveira. The match ended abruptly for Dariush, with a first-round TKO loss.

Arman Tsarukyan is steadily making his mark as one of the most formidable lightweights in the division. While he may not have had the opportunity to face off against big names like Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, or Michael Chandler, his performance has been far from ordinary.

His victories over lesser-known fighters such as Damir Ismagulov, Joel Alvarez, and Olivier Aubin-Mercier may not have garnered widespread attention, but they have been instrumental in showcasing his immense potential. Each win, regardless of the opponent’s stature, contributes to his growing reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the lightweight division.
