Within just a few hours of its release, the trailer had already amassed an astounding 32 million views on YouTube.

The trailer was originally supposed to go up on Tuesday, December 5 at 9 am PST. However, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Rockstar Games said, “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.”

The much-awaited trailer for “Grand Theft Auto VI” was initially scheduled to be unveiled on Tuesday, December 5, at 9 am PST. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the trailer found its way online ahead of the planned release.

 

In response to this unforeseen leak, Rockstar Games, took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. They acknowledged the leak and urged fans to watch the official version of the trailer on YouTube.

“Grand Theft Auto VI,” the forthcoming of the acclaimed action-adventure franchise, has been eagerly awaited by fans around the globe. The anticipation has been building for quite some time, considering that the previous chapter, “Grand Theft Auto V,” was released way back in 2013.

The eight-year gap between the two releases is significant, especially in the fast-paced world of gaming.

The trailer of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 introduces us to an intriguing character, Lucia. As the first female protagonist in the series.

Lucia, along with her partner, embarks on a thrilling crime spree that takes them through the heart of Vice City. Their journey begins on the sun-kissed beaches, crowded with tourists and locals alike, oblivious to the storm that’s about to hit.

Their escapade then takes them to the bustling city highways, where they dodge traffic and outsmart the law enforcement agencies hot on their trail. The roar of their getaway vehicle echoes through the city, adding to the symphony of Vice City’s daily life. Their exploits bear a striking resemblance to the infamous Bonnie and Clyde.

Take-Two Interactive’s subsidiary, Rockstar Games, has a challenging journey with information leaks. In the year 2022, the gaming world was taken by surprise when unreleased footage from the upcoming iteration of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) surfaced online.

Rockstar Games was quick to respond to the situation, confirming the authenticity of the leaked content. The company acknowledged that the screenshots and gameplay videos were indeed real and were part of the upcoming GTA game. They revealed that these assets had been leaked due to a “network intrusion”, indicating a serious breach of their security systems.

“We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto,” Rockstar Games announced at the time in a statement posted to what was then Twitter.
