LOS ANGELES – In a daring incident early Saturday morning, a Los Angeles homeowner bravely defended his home and family from three armed intruders, fatally wounding one, in the quiet neighborhood of Granada Hills.
The early hours of Saturday saw a quiet neighborhood in Granada Hills, Los Angeles, jolted awake by the sound of gunfire. A homeowner, whose identity remains undisclosed, found himself in a terrifying situation when three unknown men, clad in dark clothing, hoodies, and masks, broke into his home. The homeowner was not alone at the time of the incident. FOX 11 reported that a grandmother and a child were also present in the house, adding to the gravity of the situation.
Fearing for his life and the safety of his family, the homeowner retrieved a handgun and fired multiple rounds at the intruders. One of the suspects was struck by the gunfire and was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the deceased suspect had been shot twice and was found in possession of the homeowner’s property.

The remaining suspects managed to escape, leaving behind their black BMW sedan. The homeowner chased them out of the house, turning the tables on what could have been a tragic event. The police were alerted to the incident around 5 a.m. and arrived at the scene located in the 11400 block of Swinton Avenue.
Detectives from the Operations Valley Bureau Homicide conducted a preliminary investigation. The homeowner was taken in for questioning at the Devonshire Community Police Station but was later released.
