In a startling prediction, Ty Cobb, former White House attorney, anticipates that former President Donald Trump could face jail time if he continues to violate gag orders in his ongoing trials in New York and Washington, D.C.

Ty Cobb, a former White House attorney who defended Mr. Trump during the Mueller investigation, has recently predicted that the former president could face jail time for violating his gag orders in two ongoing trials. This prediction comes amidst Trump’s repeated violations of these orders, which were put in place to prevent him from disparaging court staff or potential witnesses involved in his various court cases.

In one of these trials, taking place in New York, Trump was fined $10,000 for a second violation of the gag order. This order prohibits him from disparaging members of the court staff. Despite the fine, Trump has continued to make disparaging remarks, leading Cobb to predict that the judge overseeing the trial may impose a heavier penalty.

“Well, the New York judge fined him $10,000. That’s in a civil case. That’s not as consequential as Judge Chutkan’s case. I think she’ll come in with a much heavier penalty, and ultimately, I think he’ll spend a night or a weekend in jail,” Cobb said in a CNN interview.

The other trial, overseen by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, D.C., involves allegations of election interference. Chutkan has reinstated her order prohibiting Trump from disparaging prosecutors, court staff, or potential witnesses. Despite this order, Trump has continued to make disparaging remarks and has vowed to appeal the order.

“This order, according to many legal scholars, is unthinkable! It illegally and unconstitutionally takes away my First Amendment Right of Free Speech, in the middle of my campaign for President, where I am leading against BOTH Parties in the Polls,” Trump expressed his views on the gag order on Truth Social.

Cobb believes that unless either judge decides to jail Trump in response to his continued violations, he will continue to disregard the gag orders. He predicts that it may take a night or a weekend in jail to stop Trump from violating these orders.

“I think it’s going to take that. I think it’ll take that to stop him,” Cobb further added.

These events highlight the ongoing legal challenges faced by the former president. As these trials continue, it remains to be seen how Trump will respond to these gag orders and whether his actions will indeed lead to jail time as predicted by Cobb.

The ongoing legal battles faced by former President Donald Trump have taken a new turn with the prediction of potential jail time by Ty Cobb, a former White House attorney. This prediction is based on Trump’s repeated violations of gag orders in his ongoing trials in New York and Washington, D.C. Despite fines and warnings, Trump has continued to make disparaging remarks about court staff and potential witnesses involved in his cases.

As these trials progress, it remains to be seen whether Trump’s actions will lead to the predicted outcome. This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting legal processes and the potential consequences of not doing so.
